Our Mission
At Vivette, we believe the most meaningful lives are built around connection. But too often, especially for mothers, life becomes a quiet act of giving. You are the planner, the caretaker, the professional, the memory-keeper. The one nourishing everyone around you while pieces of yourself slowly slip into the background.
Did you know mother flamingos give so much of themselves to their young that they physically lose their color? As they nourish their chicks, their vibrant pink fades to white until they have the chance to replenish themselves again. Imagine if motherhood made that kind of depletion visible in women. Would the world be more compassionate? More willing to step in, to care, to nurture the nurturers?
At Vivette, we see you. The late nights, the endless mental lists, the love poured out in a thousand unseen ways. And we believe you deserve nourishment, too.
Through thoughtfully prepared meals, intimate gatherings, and meaningful moments around the table, Vivette creates space for you to return to yourself. To slow down. To laugh louder. To tell your stories. To be witnessed and known beyond what you do for others. Around a shared table, care flows in every direction—you are no longer the one holding everything together alone. You are held, too.
Community is not just a luxury; it is essential to happiness, longevity, and feeling fully alive. Shared meals and genuine presence remind us who we are beneath the responsibilities we carry.
Vivette exists to bring your vibrant colors back. A reminder that caring for yourself is essential. Motherhood is beautiful, but you were never meant to fade.
My Story
I’m a chef, storyteller, and community-builder based in Newburyport, where I live with my husband of over a decade, our two daughters, and our chocolate lab, Finley.
My culinary roots began at Boston University, where I had the privilege of learning from legendary chefs like Jacques Pépin. From there, I spent years working in some of Boston’s most beloved kitchens, including Tatte, Cutty's, and as the very first employee at Bagelsaurus. Those experiences shaped not just how I cook, but how I think about food—as something deeply tied to memory, place, and connection.
Today, I work in restaurant technology, but my heart remains firmly rooted in hospitality. I’m passionate about bringing people together—around a table, over a shared meal, and through the stories we tell each other.
Whether I’m cooking, hosting, or tending to my garden, I’m guided by a simple belief: that good food and meaningful connection are at the center of a joyful life.
